Committing our work towards equity and justice ...

We believe that art makes children powerful. As members of the community of San Francisco, the artists of San Francisco Children’s Art Center resist and commit our work towards dismantling systems of white supremacy and oppression. Every child has the right to creative self-expression and we use our power and leverage our spirit to center the work of art making with children towards the goals of racial equity, justice, and collective liberation.

School Residency Programs

Explore. Innovate. Collaborate.

Our programs nurture children to innovate, explore, and collaborate in the artmaking process. We offer school-day artist residencies, after-school enrichment programs, and field trips with artmaking workshops in our Fort Mason art studio.  Learn more about our community partnerships.

Fort Mason Studio Classes

Curiosity. Play. Experimentation.

Organized in an art studio format our teachers encourage play, curiosity, and experimentation in classes, camps, and workshops. Programming is designed to sequentially build creativity through age-appropriate classes for children ages 2-10 years old.  View our seasonal schedule.
