Arts engagement for distance learning is available! We’ve been successfully bringing live instruction via Zoom to classrooms and students at home this school year! Please contact us if you’d like to enliven your online classroom or Community Hub with process-oriented artmaking!
SFCAC’s Artists in Schools program nurtures creativity and curiosity in students through artistic choice-making and collaboration. Inspired by Reggio-Emilia methodology and culturally responsive pedagogy, SFCAC professional teaching artists nurture students in developing skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative self-expression.
SFCAC programs engage preschool and elementary school students in hands-on artmaking while encouraging reflection and expression of their creative process.
Artist residency durations can be as short as 8 weeks or up to the full school year.
Residencies can be part of the school day or offered as an after-school enrichment program.
School groups can also join us at our Fort Mason art studio for field trips with art-making workshop experiences facilitated by SFCAC teaching artists.
