Little Art Makers

2-3 years old

Wednesdays, June 12 - August 21 (No class June 19 or July 3)

11:00am - 12:00pm

10 weeks

$225 | $35 single day drop-in

Our inquiry-based approach supports an exploratory process in this class designed for toddlers and young preschoolers. Parents/ caregivers can opt to participate alongside their child for those who need support as their confidence grows in the art studio and children who are ready can transition to attending class independently.

Art Studio I

3-5 years old

Fridays, June 14 - August 23 (No class July 5)

10:30am - 12:00pm

10 weeks

$300 | $45 single day drop-in

With a combination of open-studio time and guided activities, we’ll engage students in open-ended, process-oriented art experiences. 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art activities will focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, and reflective dialogue between peers and teaching artists.

Land, Sea & City

Grades 2-5

June 10-14

10:00am - 4:00pm

Land, Sea & City is a special art camp that combines creative time in the art studio with walking excursions in the Fort Mason area where we will draw, paint and create art inspired by our natural and built surroundings. Come 1, 2 or 3 weeks! We’ll be doing different activities and excursions each week.

Young Artists’ Workshop

Grades K-1

June 17, 18, 20, and 21

1:00pm - 4:00pm

A special half-day camp for children entering Kindergarten and 1st Grade in the fall. Each afternoon, we’ll have time for both open-studio exploration and guided art activities designed especially for younger artists.

MAD Camp (Music, Art & Drama)

Grades 1-3

MAD stands for Music, Art & Drama! This multi-disciplinary camp features 2 hours each day with Fort Mason neighbors Young Performers’ Theatre, Blue Bear School of Music, and San Francisco Children’s Art Center. Registration will be through Blue Bear. SFCAC discounts and scholarships are not available for this camp.

Drawing & Painting/Sculpture

Grades 2-5

July 8-12

10:00am - 4:00pm

In the mornings, we’ll draw from observation and tap into our imaginations to draw and paint the things we see (or wish to see) in the world. In the afternoons, we’ll build 3-dimensional structures and settings using foam core, wire, wood, paper and recycled materials.

In the mornings, we’ll discover the art of photo mixed media with digital photography combined with drawing, painting, and collage. In the afternoons, we’ll explore the relationship between science and art while creating unique drawings, paintings, and sculptures.

Printmaking / Clay Time

In the mornings, create a variety of images and patterns with collographs, stencils, stamps, and block printing. In the afternoons, explore coil and slab construction to create hand-built clay creations.
