Toddlers & Preschoolers

There are three class types for children 2-5 years old, all focused on exposing children to a range of artmaking activities in a studio format.

Side by Side Adult/Child class – 1 hour

24-36 months

Our inquiry-based approach supports an exploratory process. The teacher guides children, parents, and caregivers, offering insight into the developmental domains of art-making and how children engage with tactile materials. Each week our painting wall, drawing, and playdough tables are a welcoming entry into our studio.

Little Art Makers – 1 hour

2.5-3.5 years

Tailored for children who are ready to make the transition into attending a class independently, our classes offer an organized open studio format. Our focus is on supporting a process-oriented, open-ended art experience. Revisiting familiar materials from week to week deepens learning by allowing children to make connections and master techniques.

Art Studio – 2 hours

3.5 – 5.5 years

In a teacher-guided open studio format, children are introduced to a wide range of art materials in our inquiry-based learning environment. Painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculptural experiences provide problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaborative possibilities. Linking creative skills with the imagination, the studio prompts rich social interaction and reflective dialogue with both teacher and peers.
