We will offer our usual once-a-week morning and early afternoon programming for children ages 22 months to 5 years old Monday through Fridays, as well as after school special topics classes every weekday afternoon for big kids ages 5 to 10. Please see our classes page to find the perfect class for your child.
We have two BRAND NEW classes this session!
The first is an after school Sculpture class for children ages 5 to 7 on Wednesdays from 4:00-5:30. Working with recycled and repurposed materials, such as foam core, cardboard, wire, wood, and paper, students will create a variety of 3-dimensional projects.
We are also excited to introduce our new Family Open Studio on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 12:30. Children ages 3 and up and their families can now enjoy the experience of making art together in our studio. Families will be able to rotate between our playdoh table and a special project station, which will feature new materials each week. Family Open Studio begins on Sunday, January 11th--drop by for creative, collaborative family fun!

Celebrating Creative Exploration Since 1978
The San Francisco Children’s Art Center is a non-profit studio art center whose mission is to nurture the developmental and artistic growth of children through creative expression and self-guided learning. By encouraging experimentation and discovery in a supportive environment, the Art Center is a place filled with possibilities, where children can collaborate, explore, and grow.
Unique Afterschool and Flexible Pre-K Options
Here at the Art Center, afterschool students experience the advantage of direct contact with professional artists, connections with students from different schools and backgrounds, and the wild oasis of our National Parks campus. Students are challenged by artistic techniques rarely offered in typical afterschool programs, such as digital photography or kiln-fired clay, while feeling the individual support and attention of a small class size. For toddlers and Pre-Ks, we offer daily morning and afternoon options to accommodate your other activities, naps and school schedules.
