This summer, SFCAC will be offering a variety of options at our Fort Mason art studio young artists entering grades K-5 in Fall 2022. (See our “Weekly Classes” tab for once-a-week classes for children ages 2-5 years).
Our in-person programs will follow (and exceed) all required health & safety practices for Out-of-School-Time programs issued by San Francisco’s Department of Public Health. (Click here to view our Health & Safety Plan). We’ll have small, stable groups with 4-8 students and 2 teaching artists.
SFCAC’s programs offer our process-oriented approach to artmaking, which focuses on experiential learning and honors children’s creative choices. Our activities are designed to spark the imagination, build critical thinking skills, and enhance creative self-expression. Through our focus on interactive participation and open dialogue, we support young artists as they build social and emotional skills and make meaningful connections with their peers.
