Creative Connections Camp

A small-group, in-person, art & creativity camp for children ages 6-11

3 weeks: July 27 – August 14

Monday to Friday, 10 am-2 pm

$1500 per student

In this special afternoon art workshop, our inspiration will be our beautiful location at Fort Mason with daily exploration of the community garden, public art, historical landmarks, and marine wildlife. We’ll use artmaking to connect with each other in this special place where land, sea, and city meet. Art explorations will include drawing & painting, printmaking, bookmaking, sculpture, and more. Creative self-expression and social & emotional well-being will be centered in our engagement with our young artists.

We will be following (and exceeding!) all health and safety measures mandated by the City of San Francisco. While the city is permitting groups up to 12 children, we have decided to make our circle much smaller. Our group will consist of a cohort of 4 students only with 1 teaching artist, plus SFCAC’s Program Manager who will serve as our Health & Safety Monitor.

The majority of each day will be spent exploring and creating outdoors in the fresh air. During the time spent in our studio, we will maintain 6 ft. socially-distanced workspaces for our young artists.

SFCAC’s official Health & Safety Plan can be reviewed here.  Parents and guardians of enrollees will receive a copy of this plan, as well as being required to sign an acknowledgment of health risks that can be previewed here.  (Please note that this information is subject to change based on any updates to requirements and guidance issued by the city).

Per city regulations, students must register for all 3 weeks and are required to attend the first week. Those who do not attend the first week may not join the session later. Students can choose not to attend the entire session, but any unused portion will not be refunded as their spot can not be filled by another child.

Enrollment can not be canceled and all fees are non-refundable. If we are required by the city or state to suspend programming due to COVID19, SFCAC will apply a pro-rated credit based on the number of canceled days that can be applied to any future SFCAC class, camp or birthday party.
